the browser, reduced

Less browser. More of what you opened it for.

Blanc keeps the everyday browser tools close without building a dashboard around them — and ships no AI assistant hovering over any of it. Choose the part of your session you want to make quieter.

01

the blanc island

One small control surface. The whole browser.

Search, tabs, navigation, the current site, and page controls live together, so the page stays in front.

03

built in

Site controls that say what they do.

Blanc Blocker stops ads and known trackers at the browser level. Its shield tells you what was blocked here, whether the site uses HTTPS, and lets you turn blocking off for that one site.

04

a clean trail

Private tabs that stay out of the record.

Private pages do not enter Blanc history, session restore, or reopen-closed. Close the private chip when you are finished.

05

keyboard first

One shortcut to move through your whole session.

Command or Control L blends open tabs, Favorites, history, and Named Groups. Type / to run browser commands, or reopen a recently closed tab or group without rebuilding your place.

06

named groups

Name the task. Keep its tabs together.

Named Groups keep related tabs in one cluster. Blanc shows the active group on the island while the others stay close, folded away from the page.

07

named workspaces Patron

Save a whole window. Return to it by name.

Named Workspaces save a window’s tabs and groups, switch the set in place, and keep it up to date automatically. Active Patrons can create and save them; anything already saved remains available if membership ends.

08

your preferred view

An optional vertical tab rail. The island stays.

Move tabs to a resizable left rail when a persistent overview helps. Nothing reloads, and the island remains the only address and command surface.

09

memory, on your terms

Tabs you are not using give their memory back.

Leave a tab alone and Blanc hands its page back to your computer, then reloads it when you return. You choose the delay; anything half-finished is left awake.

10

profiles, windows, devices

Separate contexts without losing continuity.

Keep browsing identities separate with local profiles and open more than one Blanc window. From Personal, opt-in sync shows what each device has open — end-to-end encrypted, read-only, and never one merged live session.

11

private by architecture

Security that is structural, not bolted on.

Sandboxed pages, pinned network-level blocking, signed releases, device-bound Touch ID passkeys, and optional user-invoked 1Password fill on macOS. The quiet parts, documented.

Patron

Keep the browser free. Get more room to move.

Blanc’s core stays free. Patron adds cross-platform Named Workspaces and three macOS Dock colorways while helping fund an independent browser.
