Open the shield to see whether the page uses HTTPS and how many requests Blanc blocked. It reports only what the address proves, without turning the browser into a security dashboard.
Need a site exception? Use the switch in the shield popover, or type /allow-ads. Blanc keeps the choice specific to that site instead of making it an all-or-nothing setting.
Click the shield on the island, choose uBlock Origin, then restart Blanc to apply it. Blanc Blocker stays the default until you switch.
Blanc includes uBlock Origin 1.75.0 with its popup, dashboard, logger, element picker, custom filters and filter-list subscriptions. Filter lists can update on their own; uBlock Origin itself updates only with reviewed Blanc releases.
uBlock Origin is available for regular tabs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, Windows x64 and Linux x64. Private tabs always use Blanc Blocker, and so does the Intel build when it runs under Rosetta on an Apple Silicon Mac. Each profile keeps its own uBlock Origin settings, and they are not synced.
uBlock Origin is the one extension Blanc includes. Blanc does not install other browser extensions.
Report a missed ad with its page URL, Blanc version, operating system, blocker settings, expected result and the ad you observed. A screenshot is optional. For examples containing private information, email support@blanc.day.
Reports help distinguish filter coverage, a blocker integration defect and an ad format the blocker does not support. A report is closed with reproduction and verification evidence, or a documented limitation.
Ads and trackers cost real memory to render. With six ad-heavy sites open, blocking them at the network layer is worth gigabytes.
